Restore volume. Rejuvenate. Feel confident in your body.
Labia puffing is the common term for labial filler treatment, a non-surgical intimate rejuvenation treatment designed to restore lost volume to the labia majora.
At HerBloom, labial filler is performed with a medically led, highly individualised approach. We understand that intimate concerns can feel incredibly personal, which is why your treatment begins with a private, unhurried consultation where you can ask questions openly and without judgement.
Whether you've noticed changes following childbirth, weight loss, ageing or simply feel that your labia have lost some of their natural fullness, we are here to help you understand your options at our discreet London clinic.

HerBloom has been featured by ITV as part of the growing conversation around intimate health, women's confidence and non-surgical vulval rejuvenation.
Intimate health is still an area that many women feel uncomfortable talking about. We believe it shouldn't be.
Our approach is about creating a safe, medically informed space where women can discuss concerns that they may have been carrying for years.
"Having this treatment has truly changed my life. I didn't think there were options for me and so I suffered in silence. HerBloom changed that."

What is Labia Puffing?
“Labia puffing” is a non-surgical treatment using hyaluronic acid based dermal filler to restore volume and fullness to the labia majora, the outer folds of skin surrounding the vulva.
The labia naturally vary enormously in size, shape, colour and symmetry. There is no such thing as a “normal” vulva.
However, just as volume can change elsewhere on the face and body, the labia majora can also lose volume over time.
This may happen as a result of:
-
Natural ageing
-
Perimenopause and menopause
-
Pregnancy and childbirth
-
Significant weight loss either naturally or following weight loss medication such as ozempic or mounjaro
-
Changes in body composition
-
Reduced soft tissue volume
-
Natural asymmetry
When volume is lost, some women describe the labia as feeling flatter, more deflated or less full than they previously did.
Labial filler can be used to carefully restore some of this lost volume, creating a softer and fuller appearance while maintaining the individual's natural anatomy.
The aim is not to create a particular appearance or change the vulva into something it is not.

Why do women choose labial filler?
There are many reasons a woman may consider labial filler, and there is no “right” reason. Some women simply notice a loss of fullness and would like to restore the appearance they had previously. Others become more aware of changes following childbirth or significant weight loss.
Some women have always felt self-conscious about the appearance of their labia and would like to explore whether treatment could improve their confidence.
Common concerns include:
Loss of volume
The labia majora can naturally lose soft tissue volume with age or changes in body composition.
Changes following weight loss
Significant weight loss can reduce volume throughout the body, including the vulval area.
Changes following childbirth
Pregnancy and childbirth can alter the appearance and feel of the vulval tissues. Labial filler may be appropriate for some women who notice a reduction in fullness afterwards.
Age-related changes
As collagen, elastin and soft tissue volume change with age, the labia can become less full and more lax in appearance.
Asymmetry
Natural asymmetry is extremely common. In selected cases, filler can be used strategically to create a more balanced appearance.
Confidence
For some women, the concern is primarily aesthetic and personal. Feeling more comfortable and confident in your body is a valid reason to seek advice.
Labia puffing after weight loss
Significant weight loss can have a noticeable effect on the face and body.
When the body loses fat and soft tissue volume, areas such as the face, breasts, buttocks and vulval region can also change.
This is particularly relevant for women who have experienced substantial weight loss, including weight loss following the use of prescription weight-management medications.
The labia majora contain fatty tissue, meaning that a reduction in overall body fat can sometimes result in a flatter or more deflated appearance.
For suitable patients, labial filler can restore some of this lost volume.
If you've experienced changes to your vulval appearance following significant weight loss, we can assess your individual anatomy and discuss whether labial filler may be appropriate.
Labia puffing after childbirth
Pregnancy and childbirth can create profound changes throughout the pelvis and vulval tissues.
Some women notice changes immediately after having a baby, while others become more aware of them months or years later.
You may notice:
-
Reduced fullness of the labia majora
-
Changes in the appearance of the vulva
-
Increased asymmetry
-
Changes in the soft tissue surrounding the vaginal opening
-
A feeling that the area looks different from before pregnancy
-
Not every post-childbirth change requires treatment, and many changes are completely normal.
However, if a change is causing you concern, a confidential consultation can help you understand what is happening and what options may be available.
What happens during labial filler treatment?
Your experience begins with your consultation.
1. Private consultation
We take the time to understand exactly what is concerning you and what you would like to achieve.
We will discuss your medical history, previous treatments, expectations and suitability for treatment.
An intimate examination may be required as part of the clinical assessment. You will have the opportunity to ask as many questions as you need and there is never any pressure to proceed.
2. Treatment planning
If you are suitable for treatment, we create an individualised plan based on your anatomy and the amount of volume required. We may recommend treating both sides to maintain balance, although the exact approach depends on your individual anatomy.
3. Preparation
The area is carefully prepared and cleansed before treatment.
Local anaesthetic and/or an anaesthetic-containing treatment product may be used to improve comfort, depending on the treatment plan and product selected.
4. Filler placement
The dermal filler is carefully placed into the labia majora using an appropriate injection technique.
The amount used depends entirely on your anatomy and desired outcome. We do not believe that more filler means a better result. Our goal is controlled, natural-looking restoration.
5. Aftercare
You will receive detailed aftercare advice before leaving the clinic, including what to expect during the initial healing period and when you can return to normal activities.
What if I am worried about how my vulva looks?
This is one of the most important conversations we have at HerBloom.
There is an enormous amount of misinformation online about what vulvas are “supposed” to look like.
The reality is that vulvas vary considerably.
Labia can be:
-
Long or short
-
Fuller or flatter
-
Symmetrical or asymmetrical
-
Different colours
-
Different sizes
-
Different shapes
All of these variations can be completely normal.
Labial filler is not about correcting a “normal” vulva.
It is about helping a woman who has identified a specific concern and wants to explore whether treatment could improve how she feels about her body.
If, during your consultation, we feel that treatment is unlikely to benefit you, we will tell you.
